Barcelona midfielder Rodri said his teammate, Lamine Yamal, had the potential to win the Ballon d’Or.

Rodri made the remarks during his official unveiling on Tuesday, praising the young winger’s development and his understanding of football as a team sport.

The former Manchester City midfielder said individual achievements were a result of collective efforts, stressing that Barcelona’s focus remained on winning titles.

Rodri described Yamal’s development as incredible and said the youngster had what it takes to reach Ballon d’Or level.

Yamal had emerged as one of the leading contenders for this year’s prestigious award following an impressive season in which he helped Barcelona win LaLiga and Spain win the World Cup.
