The Nigeria Golf Federation says the tournament will take place from November 16 to 20, 2027.

NGF President, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, says the federation has been preparing to revive the tournament as part of efforts to reposition golf in Nigeria and meet international standards.

More than 20 countries from Africa, Europe and other regions are expected to participate, with between 150 and 200 golfers projected to compete.

The federation is also in discussions with Lakowe Golf Resort in Lagos as a possible venue.

The tournament is planned as a 64-hole, four-day Pro-Am event with world ranking status and an Amateur World Ranking connection.

The federation says the event will also focus on youth development, professional coaching and creating opportunities for Nigerian golfers to qualify for international competitions.
